We have our first peeker! The little pink collared female is peeking out at me this morning. I imagine by this evening, there will be more eyes looking back at me. They continue to gain weight in leaps and bounds and every one of them is walking well now. The female with the dark blue collar is today the heftiest, weighing in at 2' 6 oz. Her sibling with the orange collar comes in second at 2' 5 oz. They both started into the world at 12 oz each and today's weight shows they have tripled their birth weight in just 12 days. I find all this quite amazing and never get tired of pouring over their stats. Don't get me wrong, cuddling with them is much more fun and lowers the blood pressure very well but I do enjoy statistics.

  1. Yipeeee !!! It will be so neat to feel all their eyes on you. I can't wait for a picture of them all peeking over the edge of the whelping box. I am glad you enjoy the numbers so much, because I am sure they need some time to sleep! It won't be until they are 6 to 18 months old that they have sooooo much more energy then we do that they will get to watch us sleep... Not that I am rushing to that point. Puppy time is the best and it is so short. I can't believe they are growing and changing so much in just 12 days. Amazing!

  2. At lunch time there were more peekers. If I am remembering correctly all but 3 had little slits.
They are growing like weeds and getting vocal.
